Unpredictable as always and on the cutting edge of the gastronomic choices on the island, Carte Blanche have a brilliantly different menu for the Easter Weekend, drawing on the ancient and Eastern European customs and traditions for the festival of fertility.

Our next wine tasting is on Monday 21st of April. The theme will be any wine other Australian or French so that makes it wide open for you to bring something unusual or interesting.

St Georges Day Dinner April 23rd 2003 - 2003 - 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now for our annual St Georges Day dinner, the menu is ready and is themed around the Battle of Waterloo and is described below. This event sold out in 1 week last year and we anticipate significant demand again so call in and buy your ticket this weekend to avoid disappointment.
This year will feature a debate on 'The Greatest Ever Englishman or Woman' and we are looking for 2 people who are willing to present a five minute piece explaining who they think it is and why. The people gathered will take a vote at the endof the evening. We will also have some great Englsih literature presented including the mandatory 'Albert And The Lion' from Howard and "Napoleons Retreat from Wigan' by Trev
The evening will conclude with a highlights version The Last Night of The Proms (on the big screen) which naturally includes 'Jerusalem' 'Rule Britannia' and 'God Save The Queen' conductors batons, flags and other necessarty equipment will be provided by us but feel free to dress patriotically. The quotes on the menu by the way are from Wellington himself.
